DESCRIPTION:The Town Board shall hold a public hearing on the preliminary budget of the Town of Veteran for the fiscal year beginning January 1\, 2024\, including general Town funds\, highway/public works funds\, fire protection district funds and lighting district funds.  \nThe Town Board shall hold a public hearing on said preliminary budget on November 9\, 2023 at 6:45 PM\, showing such changes\, alterations and revisions as shall have been made therein by the Town Board.   \nAt such hearing\, any person may be heard in favor of or against the preliminary budget as compiled or for or against any item or items therein contained.

SUMMARY:Town Board Public Hearing
DESCRIPTION:A public hearing will be held by the Town Board\, Town of Veteran\, Chemung County\, New York on November 9\, 2023 at 6:55 pm at 4049 Watkins Rd\, Millport\, NY\, for the purpose of considering a new contract for the year 2024 with the Town and Country Fire Department for fire protection to the Town of Veteran Fire Protection District #3\, said new contract to be upon the following general terms:a.    Department shall answer and attend all fire calls in said District.b.    For such services\, Department shall be paid the sum of $81\,000 for 2024.c.    Department shall maintain and operate a fire station at Horseheads\, NY.d.    Department shall insure all of its equipment against all liability and shall protect the Town from liability for any accident in which any Department vehicle may be involved.e.    The contract shall continue until December 31\, 2024.f.    Such other incidental terms as may be necessary or proper.
