Due to recent storm damage, Verizon’s fiber network that controls landlines
has affected multiple residences and businesses in Chemung County, to include the
Chemung County Communications Center non-emergency numbers.

Until such time the fiber network can be repaired, all residents are asked to
utilize the following number for all non-emergency calls (607) 873-1324. Please
be advised that 911 emergency lines are operable.

If you have family members that utilize various emergency medical devices
that operate via landlines, we encourage you to check on those family members
until such time as those lines are repaired.
