NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public hearing will be held by the Town Board, Town of Veteran, Chemung County, New York on November 13, 2025 at 7:00 pm at 4049 Watkins Rd, Millport, NY, for the purpose of considering a new contract for the year 2026 with the Town and Country Fire Department for fire protection to the Town of Veteran Fire Protection District #3, said new contract to be upon the following general terms:
- Department shall answer and attend all fire calls in said District.
- For such services, Department shall be paid the sum of $92,000 for 2026.
- Department shall maintain and operate a fire station at Horseheads, NY.
- Department shall insure all of its equipment against all liability and shall protect the Town from liability for any accident in which any Department vehicle may be involved.
- The contract shall continue until December 31, 2026.
- Such other incidental terms as may be necessary or proper.
All interested persons will be heard at the meeting noticed above.
